En lille hvalp er strandet på en lille ø ved Nišava-floden i Bulgarien.
Zoran Pavlovic og hans venner har spottet den, men ved ikke hvordan de skal komme den til undsætning fra broen.
Heldigvis kan de få fat i Saša Pešić, som driver en lokal dyreforening, hvor han redder herreløse hunde. Pt har han 450(!) hunde, som han tager sig af.
Saša er en handlekraftig mand, så han springer resolut ned fra broen for at hjælpe hunden.
